DTL Digital Video Studio

About

What is DTL Digital Video Studio?

This is a question many of you probably have asked, and here is the answer: We are a group of friends and family that work together to bring our crazy and wild-eyed ideas to life. Inspired by everything things and other media, we strive to do our best, but all the while having fun. We do not do this for money although we don’t turn away any donations either. We mostly pay out of our own pockets for all equipment and technology we use.

DTL Digital Video Studio was born out of an idea as part of the former DTL Media Services Group (now DTLRadio, a part of DelTech Labs). Having worked on live radio broadcasts, an idea was formed to attempt a live simulcast of Video along with our radio shows. Although a bit bulky using new technology at the time, the hard work paid off and the simulcast was a hit. Soon, we branched out into playing unlicensed anime productions and started working on making our own productions. Sadly, we had to close down due to lack of funds then before we could get our productions started.

So DTLDVS (the short nickname) was put on the back burner. The group dwindled down to just DJ Tama, who at the time was playing an MMO RPG with multiple players and extensive battles. Eventually, using the resources of DTLDVS that was left, DJ Tama recorded and produced screencaptured video works and perfected his editing skills, both in video and audio, eventually moving into the new HD space, releaseing 720p video.

Now DTLDVS is coming back together and stronger than before. The first live recoding of a broadcast happened in Jan of 2009, at Anime LA for DancingQueen and Benu’s panel. The videos were so well received, they both requested to have our services again for thier upcoming panel at Anime Expo. They also joined the ranks as actors.

We are a growing group and have a few people on the wings waiting for thier projects to begin when time permits. As the days roll on, you will see updates regarding our public projects and maybe a few sneak peeks at our secret stash. Just stay tuned and enjoy the show!
